Розробка уроку на тему "Винаходи і винахідники."

Тема: Винаходи і винахідники.
Мета: поглиблювати й удосконалювати навички мовленнєвої діяльності, розвивати навички читання з повним розумінням тексту, тренувати учнів у вживанні структур PassiveVoice, вдосконалювати навички групової творчої роботи, залучити учнів до творчого письма. Розвивати критичне мислення, креативне мовлення, вміння слухати, аргументовано представляти свою точку зору. Виховувати толерантність, гордість за досягнення людства у розвитку науки та техніки.
Тип уроку: узагальнення і систематизація знань.
Обладнання: ноутбук, проектор, презентація,картки з назвами команд, бланки для релаксійної хвилинки,портрети вчених, картки для проектної роботи , картки для голосування, сертифікати.
Форми та види роботи: індивідуальна, фронтальна, групова, парна.

Хід уроку
1. Організаційний момент, оголошення теми та мети уроку.
We can’t imagine our life without modern inventions, equipment that make our life easier, better and more comfortable. They were created for world peace and understanding of the world, for people’s health and pleasure, entertainment. That’s why we are going to discuss the most important inventions and to try to become inventors ourselves.Today we will work in three groups. Choosea captain and name your team.
Aims:
-review the lexical material to the topic;
-take part in conversational exchange on the topic;
-operate the grammar material (Passive Voice);
-advertise the inventions.
The nature of inventions was always interesting for people, so our motto will be the words of Carl Yung who was the famous psychiatrist.
  The motto of our lesson is: Science is a tool of mind and with it many doors can be opened.

3. Основна частина.
3.1. Введення в атмосферу іншомовного спілкування.
We have a lot of things around us that were invented for different aims. They are household items, transport, things for pleasure, medicine. Put the words into four groups. List the most important inventions. Explain your choice.
Mobile phone, chemicals, dishwasher, drugs, plane, vacuum cleaner, TV set, bike, X-rays, microwave oven, train, music system, computer, car, refrigerator,microscope.

Let’s play ‘Guess game’. I need one pupil who will have a picture on his back. Using general questions, guess what it is.

Read information about inventions; match them with the pictures and names of their inventors.
Penicillin
Alexander Fleming (1928)
It was invented from mould by a Scottish bacteriologist in London.He found that mould juice is capable to kill a wide range of harmful bacteria.
Computer
KonradZuse(1938)
Many inventors contributed to the history of it and all its parts can be considered a separate invention. The first one used to be the size of a gymnasium and weighted 2 tons.
Phone
Alexander Bell (1875)
This is an instrument that converts voice and sound signals into electrical impulses for transmission by wire to different locations.This invention changed the way of people’s communication
Car
Karl Benz (1844)
The history of this invention is rich and dates back to the 17th century. There are many types of them: steam, electric, gasoline.The first gasoline item had three wheels, no pedals and could hold two people.
Microwave oven
Percy Spenser (1945)
It was invented by the man who never finished grammar school. Standing in front of an active radar set he noticed the candy bar in his pocket melt. Popcorn became the world-famous product of this invention.

3.5.Активизация граматичного матеріалу.
This song gives us a lot of information about inventors and inventions…and grammar. Let’s combine two problems into one.

4. Узагальнення і систематизація знань учнів з теми.
4.1. Проектна робота.
Now it is the time for project work. What is project work? (It is creative work.)
You get some pictures. Your task is to guess how you canuse these things and advertise your inventions using these questions.
Choose one speaker, one writer, one artist in your group.

What is it for?
Is it expensive or cheap?
Is it useful or useless?
When and how can you use it?
